Garmin has released a new beta update, version 13.13, for its popular Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Enduro 3 multisport watches. This update introduces several enhancements and bug fixes designed to improve the overall user experience.
Enhanced Keyboard Functionality
One of the key improvements in this beta is the enhanced keyboard functionality. Users can now select between different keyboard layouts, including a newly added QWERTY layout for more intuitive typing. Furthermore, the keyboard now incorporates text prediction capabilities for English, making typing faster and more efficient.
Trolling Motor App Improvements
The Trolling Motor app has also received updates in version 13.13. The app now supports nautical units, catering to a wider range of users and preferences. Additionally, the data screen within the Trolling Motor app has been refined to provide more comprehensive and informative data.
Bug Fixes
Several bugs have also been addressed in this beta update. The issue of cropped emojis has been resolved, ensuring a proper and visually appealing display. The Spotify player’s Play/Pause key arc has been corrected for smoother and more reliable music control. Additionally, the update addresses the issue of Touch Lock inadvertently getting re-enabled, preventing accidental touches and ensuring intended interactions.
Downloading the Beta Update
Users can manually download and install the beta update by navigating to the following path on their device: Main Menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates.
It’s crucial to remember that installing the beta update will temporarily disable the ECG and dive features on your Garmin device.
