Garmin has rolled out a new beta software update, version 13.25, for its popular Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Enduro series smartwatches. This update brings a collection of bug fixes and performance enhancements, focusing on addressing issues reported by users within the Garmin community. While the update delivers improvements in several key areas, it also temporarily disables the ECG and Dive features for Fenix 8 series devices in this beta release.
Change Log:
- Fixed Device Lockout Page not Clearing Automatically after Changing Passcode in GCM.
- Fixed Dot Placement on Passcode PIN Pad, for Solar models.
- Fixed Incorrect-Passcode Flow.
- Fixed Incorrect Weekdays Displayed on Training Readiness Graph.
The update tackles a frustrating issue with the Device Lockout Page. Previously, users reported that the Lockout Page wouldn’t automatically clear after they changed their passcode in the Garmin Connect Mobile app. This meant users had to manually intervene, disrupting the seamless experience expected from a premium smartwatch. Version 13.25 aims to resolve this, streamlining the passcode change process.
For users of Solar-powered models within the Fenix 8 series, Garmin has addressed a visual glitch on the Passcode PIN Pad. The dot placement, crucial for accurate passcode entry, has been corrected. This seemingly minor tweak contributes to a more polished and user-friendly interface, especially important when inputting sensitive information.
Another significant fix targets the “Incorrect-Passcode Flow.” The update promises a more intuitive and less frustrating experience when users enter the wrong passcode. While the specific nature of the previous issue isn’t detailed in the release notes, it’s likely that users encountered confusing prompts or difficulty regaining access after a passcode error. The 13.25 update aims to smooth out this process.
Garmin has also addressed a display error on the Training Readiness Graph. Users had reported that the weekdays displayed on the graph were incorrect, potentially leading to misinterpretations of their training data. This fix ensures that the Training Readiness Graph accurately reflects the user’s training schedule and recovery, a crucial feature for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
This beta software update is currently available to users enrolled in the Garmin Beta Program. Garmin encourages users to participate in the program and provide feedback on the new features and fixes. This feedback loop is essential for Garmin to identify and address any remaining issues before the official public release of the update.

I love Garmin watches! I just bought the new Fenix 8 , 51 mm . Absolutely beautiful watch! Garmin makes amazing fitness watches, but this is one thing I wish they would really focus on, and that’s polishing the software! I know they are working to improve it, but I really think if they can get the software optimized that they would have a hell of a platform. They put out amazing products! But they really need to get the software up to speed!!
